The Russian VJs Tundra kicked butt last night with their piece “Nomad.” The work was an innovative and tightly knit combination of live projection and laser traces.

The Swiss and Peruvian VJs N. Barandun + L. Sanz opened the Festival’s live cinema performances with their piece “Transmission.” The work felt to me like the imagined experience of being inside a storm cloud in the middle of an electrical storm. Quite beautiful, rolling, a tapestry.
